Blackwater Community School
Originally built in 1939, the school sits on the Gila River Indian Community and expands the educational opportunities for students in the community grades K-5. The new replacement 272,087 square foot campus serves as the hub of the community, helping to celebrate its rich heritage. The project included installation of underground storm water storage tanks, in addition to a new two-story classroom building, cafeteria, facility maintenance building, parking lot, center courtyard, playground, and administration building.
